Just released: "Transforming or Tinkering? Inaction lays the groundwork for another pandemic", a report from the former Co-Chairs of the Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and me, one year on from the Panel’s main report. While processes are in train to address a number of key areas identified by the Panel for reform, progress is slow, and political attention to COVID-19 and longer term pandemic preparedness and response issues is waning.
