Archibald Baxter Memorial Trust Annual Lecture
Archibald Baxter was a New Zealand pacifist whose autobiographical work “We Will Not Cease” left a deep impression on me when I first read it decades ago. A Trust formed to honour his memory is based in Dunedin, and organises an annual lecture.
This year I was the guest speaker for the annual event, and was in conversation with Professors Kevin Clements and Robert Patman, and with Taieri Member of Parliament Ingrid Leary. We discussed the state of geopolitics, multilateralism, the UN Secretary General’s new report: “Our Common Agenda”, Afghanistan, & issues of peace and development in general. Here is the link to the video of the conversation.
