Tuesday 21 September webinar on Myanmar crisis - UPDATED WITH LINK TO VIDEO

The military regime which dislodged the elected Myanmar Government in February has killed, tortured, & jailed its opponents. The country's economy is in freefall and its humanitarian crisis is deep.

On Tuesday 21 September at 2 pm, Asia New Zealand Foundation and the Kia Kaha Myanmar Group, of which I am part, are hosting an online event with Dr. Sasa, Minister of International Co-operation and Spokesperson for the National Unity Government of Myanmar, and Chris Sidoti, human rights lawyer and member of the Special Advisory Council for Myanmar, to explore possible strategies for a return to democratic government in Myanmar. I will join the conversation; it will be moderated by Professor David Capie, Director of the Centre for Strategic Studies at Victoria University of Wellington.
