Interested in knowing more about the global impact of #COVID19? Next Wednesday, 16 June, I'll be in conversation with Rt Hon Gordon Brown, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and a passionate advocate for supporting all countries to be able to offer vaccination to their populations and recover from the pandemic. Gordon and I, together with many other former Presidents and Prime Ministers, are among 230 signatories to a public letter sent to G7 leaders this week urging that their countries step up to fund a significant proportion of the cost of vaccination in low-income countries; see the letter here.

None of us are safe from COVID-19 until all of us are safe. As long as the virus is widely transmitted, the more challenging the task of fighting it and its variants becomes. We all want to see the world emerge from this catastrophe and get on the road to recovery - global vaccination is key to that. Recovery needs to be inclusive, resilient, and sustainable too - we will be talking about that as well.
